Fine art

- Media Centre with specialist equipment including materials for sound, film and photography available for short-term loan
- computer rooms with contemporary software for digital image processing and manipulation, graphic layout and typography, animation, film and sound production and editing

Film and content creation
City campus is also home to part of our School of Art and Media, covering our film and content creation courses (the latter is partly taught on our Moulescoomb campus).

- 4K interactive screens, iMac 5K Retina 27" workstations and house a high-spec Dolby Atmos 4K screening room.
Photography
You will have expert specialist technical staff on hand to assist you in workshops and inductions into equipment and technologies and access to specialist facilities for hands-on learning. The following resources are exclusively for our photography students:

Sound and music
Using our excellent facilities, you will be able to experiment with software and hardware design to build your own acoustic, electric or virtual instruments and installations.
- Four modern digital production and post-production studios equipped with state-of-the-art hardware and software equipped with surround-sound speaker systems
- Software including Logic Studio Pro, Pro Tools, Ableton Live, Max/MSP, Pure Data, SuperCollider and various open source applications
- Two sound-isolated recording booths
- A sound diffusion lab where students can experiment with spatial projection, multichannel sound and unconventional speaker configurations
- Workstation area for individual student use, teaching presentations and demonstrations that is equipped with all taught software
